Diane is a local artist who expresses her lifelong love of the Dorset Landscape and coastline in textiles.
After studying painting at college in London and after a career lecturing in locally, Diane developed an interest in textiles and has spent some years training and developing skills and qualifications to enable her to produce work that is both artistic and durable.
As well as dyeing her own fabrics she incorporates luxury fabrics such as silks and velvets into her work and also reuses vintage fabrics to make modern creations.
The unique quality of her work lies in her ability to co-ordinate bright fresh colours, geometric and floral patterns to create the beauty of the Jurassic coast, its flora and fauna.
